Words from Page to Stage Do you yearn to bring your words to life? Are you looking for ways to lift your poetry from the page and share evocatively with an audience? Do you love to hear writers share their work but find yourself wishing that the delivery did justice to the language? Sharing her experience reading and performing at literary festivals, poetry slams, and jams around Asia, Sally Dellow will share some of her writing as a way to offer some simple tips and techniques for taking your work from page to stage. ABOUT SALLY DELLOW: Sally Dellow won the Proverse publishing prize in 2012, to publish her first poetry collection, “Wonder, Lust & Itchy Feet”. Her work is also published in the “Not A Muse” anthology of women writers (alongside Margaret Attwood), in the Outloud anthology of Hong Kong poets, and in multiple editions of the Asia Literary Review. As an actor and playwright, Sally particularly loves to read and perform poetry on stage. She has featured multiple times at the Hong Kong Literary Festival (once having the honour to read alongside Seamus Heaney), and continues to write and perform for monthly poetry slams and jams. Raised in four countries (including spending part of her childhood in Queensland, Australia), Sally has been a resident of Hong Kong for over 30 years. She is a Managing Director of Dramatic Difference – a regional leadership coaching and team development consultancy specializing in intercultural leadership and interactive, theatre-led learning.
