Dave mangenner Gough is a proud Trawlwoolway man who descends from Bunganna (chief), Manalargenna’s oldest daughter, Woretemoeteyenner of North East Tasmania. He is a storyteller, playwright, producer, director, narrator, and performer with large-scale performances, exhibitions, and installations.
His craft has spanned locally, nationally, and internationally with his creations appearing in the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, AIATSIS, Muséum du Havre in France, Kochi Muziris Biennale, Forte Kochi, and the National Theatre in Wales.
mangenner Gough is an alumnus of the Wesfarmers NGA Indigenous Arts Leadership program through the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra.
mangenner Gough published the children’s book luwa tara luwa waypa in 2022, and will be reading this book to young people as part of our First Nations Story Time session at #CTWF2023.
